Gibson Warranty

 

Your new Gibson product is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from your original purchase date, subject to the limitations contained in this warranty.

 

  1. Gibson Guitar Avenue By Music Bliss (“GGA”) will repair the defect(s) or replace the product, as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion. This warranty covers the cost of both labor and materials ONLY on any repair deemed necessary by our service & warranty department. GGA reserves the right to use materials regularly utilized/reconditioned parts/assesmblies as warranty replacement for authorized repairs at the time of repair in the event that original materials are no longer available.

 

If replacement of your product deemed appropriate by our representative, GGA will replace the product with one of the same or most similar style of a value not in excess of the original purchase price of your product.

 

In the unlikely event that your product is destroyed, lost or damaged beyond repair, while in the possession of GGA for repair, GGA will replace that product with one of the same or most similar style of value not in excess of the original purchase price of your product.

 

Any insurance covering the product, including but not limited to collector’s value insurance, must be carried by the owner of the product at the owner’s expense.

 

GGA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR OTHER SIMILAR DAMAGES SUFFERED BY THE PURCHASER OR ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION. DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR BUSINESS OR DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT, EVEN IF GGA OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND GGA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY EXPENSES, CLAIMS, OR SUITS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY OF THE FOREGOING. GGA’S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT.

 

This Warranty is subject to the following limitations :

 

  1. THIS WARRANTY IS EXTENDED TO THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER ONLY AND MAY NOT BE TRANSFERRED OR ASSIGNED TO SUBSEQUENT OWNERS. Your proof of purchase must accompany all requests for warranty coverage.

  2. Any product that has been altered or modified in any way or upon which the serial number, name, identification numbers or logos has been tampered with or altered.

  3. Any product that has been found to be modified, serviced or repaired under unauthorized service provider will be void of its limited warranty. The service and repairs are to be performed by only GGA Authorized Service Centre only.

  4. Any product that has been purchased from an unauthorized seller.

  5. Any product whose warranty card has been altered or upon which false information has been given.

  6. Any product that has been damaged due to misuse, negligence, accident (ie. dropping of the product), improper operation (ie. turning the volume too high to cause the speaker driver to be faulty), liquid contamination, all types of natural disasters, extremes of temperature or humidity, inappropriate storage, abnormal strain and etc.

  7. Normal wear and tear (ie. worn frets, worn machine heads, worn plating on parts, string replacement, scratched pickguards, cracking or damages to or discoloration of the product finish for any reason)

  8. The subjective issue of tonal characteristics

  9. GGA shall, in its sole discretion, dictate if the product warranty claim is valid upon inspection either to repair or replace any parts/product that proves to be defective.

  10. GGA reserves the right to update any product returned for repair and to change or improve the design of the product at any time without notice.

  11. GGA does not authorized any third party, including any dealer, retailer or sales representative to assume any admission of liability on behalf of GGA or to make any warranty for GGA.

  12. GGA may require advanced authorization of repairs to authorized service centre.

  13. Customers are responsible for all shipping and freight charges to transport your product to and from GGA or GGA service centre.

  14. Any kind of shipping damages incurred during transit. You should contact the shipping for proper claims in the event of damage or loss resulting from shipment. You assume all risk of loss or damage until the product is received and accepted by GGA or GGA service centre.

 

Disclaimer and Exclusion

The foregoing warranty is the only warranty given by GGA and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, exceeding the specific provisions of this warranty are hereby disclaimed and excluded from this warranty. Upon expiration of the warranty period, GGA shall have no further warranty obligation of any kind.

 

** The terms and conditions for the Gibson Products warranty offered to our customers in Malaysia may vary from those location outside Malaysia. Those terms and conditions applicable out of Malaysia may not be applicable here.

 

How To Obtain Warranty Service

 

  1. In the event of malfunction of your Gibson products, you should notify your Authorized Gibson Dealer where you have purchased your product from.

  2. The dealer or owner must ship the product, freight and insurance pre-paid, to GGA or GGA Authorized Service Centre.

  3. If there is no Authorized Gibson Service Center near you, contact or have your dealer contact GGA for information and an authorization to return the product to GGA. No product may be returned to GGA without such prior Return Authorization.

  4. When contacting GGA, you must include a complete written description of the malfunction of the product on the service and warranty submission form.

  5. If non-warranty work is required or recommended by GGA, a quotation will be issued and must be approved by you before any non-warranty work is commenced. You should consider quotations obtained for non-warranty work immediately and advise the Authorized Gibson Service Center or GGA of your wishes.

  6. You are not required to purchase non-warranty work in order to obtain service on materials covered by this warranty.

  7. Following its inspection of a product upon its arrival, GGA or the Authorized Gibson Service Center will advise you or your dealer of the approximate date of completion. The repaired product or part will be returned to you or your dealer.
